Tango and ballet

Tango has become an inspiration for ballet performances. Some are driven straight from tango, other might be based on tango inspirations such as Last Tango (in Paris) ballet choreographed by Vyacheslav Gordeyev. This ballet had its premiere at Bolshoi and was inspired by the Bertolucci's movie. Below a fragment danced by Joo Yoon Bae and Andrey Bolotin:

Or driven strictly from Argentine tango Instead of Tango choreographed by Nikolai Kabaniaev (see the dancing couple in the beginning of the video):


In Intead of Tango in Giorgi Alexidze's choreography you can see an amazing couple dancing to tango music, but without much tango inspiration in choreography. The female dancer, Lali Kandelaki, is stunning here:
